The Oldest Copies of the Bible Are Coming to Washington, DC

Daily, Nov 22, 2025 - Sep 07, 2026. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On November 22, Museum of the Bible, in partnership with the Israel Antiquities Authority and Running Subway, will open Dead Sea Scrolls: The Exhibition. The exhibition will feature biblical texts and scrolls from the community at Qumran, as well as hundreds of artifacts that reveal details about life and Judaism during the Second Temple period. The scrolls also provide unique insights into the formation of the texts that make up our Bibles today, making them a shared heritage for all “People of the Book.”

*This exhibition was created by the Israel Antiquities Authority from the collections of the National Treasures, in partnership with Running Subway. It was curated by Navit Popovich-Geller, Risa Levitt, and Joe Uziel.
